I have accepted an offer for a internship with a PR agency in Phoenix. I am excited to start this new adventure! Yet, with this great news, comes more panic. I have to find a place to live, I have to be able to afford this new place to live.
But, I am three weeks from graduation. Six weeks from this internship. And those three weeks in between will be to settle myself. And I am so excited!
I cannot wait to start my career!

Growing Up
I am weeks away from graduating, and the thought of that scares me more than anything. I feel like graduation is a long time coming and I am just ready to be done. Yet, I don't feel old enough to have a 'big-kid job'. The part that scares me the most, is the unknown. I do not have a job lined up, I do not have a back-up plan. And there are a lot of things that are unknown to me.
However, there are a few things that I do know. I know that I somehow stumbled onto the public relations career field, and that is the best choice for me. I know that I am ready for a new adventure and want to embark on it as soon as possible. But I also know, that I want to do something more. I want to leave a presence in the world, I want to change someones life and I want to be an influence to someone. I am not quite sure how I am going to accomplish all of these, but these are the things that interest me.
I would say the hardest part of graduating, besides the unknown, is not having goals or plans after graduation. It was always put in my head "you graduate high school, go to college and graduate college before you can continue", but no one tells you what to do after graduation.
A few goals I have for post-graduation life:

A few goals I have for post-graduation life:
- Start a career in public relations and make my clients better.
- Get more involved with community service/charity organizations.
- Learn how to decorate cupcakes to look professional. (A goal I have never had time for)
- Be an influence to fellow PRSSA members that are just as lost as I am.
